Don't forget about the Kit of the Month giveaway. You have until midnight (EST) on Friday to leave comments and the winner will be drawn Saturday, February 6th.
I finished my very first mini album and I am so excited! I rushed right over to the post office after making the video completely, by passing showing the album to my roommate, only to find out the post office was already closed. Sadly, the album will not be sent out until February 1st. (I was so excited I finished it before the end of the month) But things happen. Here is the video of the album, sorry about the glare, it was actually sunny for part of the day today (who knew the sun comes out in Rochester). Enjoy!

I am so excited! I have two more layouts and the cover of my mini album for Trade Wind Scrappers. I just emailed Elodie to ask her for her address since we had not exchanged them earlier. This is my first swap and I am going to mail it out before the end of the month. I am also really excited about February's swap. The theme is "One True Love." I have a ton of valentine stuff so I can't wait to start putting stuff together. This will most likely be my last post before my video post of the completed mini album. I really enjoyed doing these layouts, they just kind of fell into place. Don't you just love that? Enjoy!
I really like how this page came out. The white mat was supposed to stay plain as a large photo mat, but I had rubons that just matched so well, I couldn't pass it up.
The frame is on foam tape and has an acetate window, perfect for a cute little picture.
The card on the right is meant to be a mat. It matched the page so I thought she could just cover up the "Sweet Stuff" part and it would work really well as a large mat.

This page just fell together. It is so nice when everything you pick out of your stash just works perfectly together. The "May" is done with Tim Holtz grunge board alphas. I used gold ink to color and embossed with clear embossing powder. This was my first project ever with embossing. I just bought my heat tool on Friday. Enjoy!
Here is the July layout for my TWS mini swap. I wanted to keep this layout very simple so there's lots of room for my partner to play. My absolute goal is to have this done and in the mail January 31st! So I used gold glitter Thickers I found at Tuesday Morning for $0.79, awesome huh? The purple page was punched with a spiral punch I got for Christmas. Journaling lines are embossed in clear embossing powder and July was done in Martha Stewart Polka Dot Alphas. Enjoy!
2 types of sparkle (glimmer spray, glitter, blinged out embellishments, etc)
2 buttons
I used another one of the fortune teller papers. The rubons are Fancy Pants. There are three buttons, but I didn't that would be a such a big deal. I wanted to make sure I left room for a large picture on this page since many of the other pages only have room for very small ones.

I am incredibly excited. This is the first sneak peek of my first ever kit. I want to share a few pictures with you. Monday will be the release day! Please give me you input. I hope you like it.
Okay, you didn't miss the other months I just got a spark of inspiration so I decided to do December today. I added a short video of the movement on the page. I did scraplift this idea from youtube, but it was a while ago so I don't remember who I got it from.
It is a very non-traditional Christmas/winter page. I hope she likes it.

Today I finished the February layout for my TWS January Mini Swap. I used Fancy Pants rub-ons for the first time. They are so pretty, but really hard to use. I had to use my bonefolder in order to get it to stick. Enjoy!
The glitter is Distress Stickles and is not dry so it'll look a little different when it's done.
The frame is a diecut from the same kit as the paper. I put acitate in the window and popped it up on pop-dots leaving one side open.
The part that opens was from a sheet that looked like four of those fortune teller things you make in middle school. The flourish is the Fancy Pants rub-on. I cut the heart from the Designer's Calendar cartridge and used my crop-a-dile for the eyelet.

The theme of this mini is "My Life in 2010." This is my very first mini and I'm sure I have bitten off more than I can chew, but I am going to power through and get it done. Each month will have a two page spread where there will be space for pictures and journalling. So here is my first page of my first mini. Be nice and enjoy! =)
The trifold fits in the library pocket for places to put more pictures and some journaling.
My mother's birthday was this past Saturday and I have not mailed out her card yet. I'm getting better at getting the cards done on time, but then I keep forgetting to send them. So Happy Belated Birthday, Mom and I will try to get the card out as soon as possible.
I used both cartridges my mom got me for Christmas, Wild Card and Hello Kitty Greetings. The paper is from Best Creations Inc. It is very glittery! Enjoy

I am taking the lead from some of my favorite blog owners that I have found. I always make sure that I check to see if Christina over at Creations with Christina has a new video exploring a cartridge. This made me think about the cartridges I have (only about 10). From watching videos on YouTube, I've heard that many people with the Paperdoll Dress Up cartridge only use the cartridge for the little extras not to actually make the dolls. I am going to have videos for each and every page of the PDDU cartridge. This will be a reference for myself along with showing how to put together the paperdolls (some are harder than they look). Later today I will have the first video posted. I hope you are as excited about this as I am. Enjoy!
So welcome to my first video. It's just a little introduction and an idea I had when I went to a Blockbuster that was closing. In the next couple days I will have a haul video and a short tutorial posted. Enjoy!
